Sustainability is the future !

As we become more aware of the impact we have on the environment, many of us are looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint. One way to do this is by supporting small businesses like mine.

I am continually learning of ways to reduce the impact hairdressing has on our environment.

1. Using eco-friendly products.

Insight professional products are VEGAN, eco-friendly and free from harmful chemicals. This includes shampoos, conditioners, and styling products that are made from approximately 96% natural ingredients and packaging that is 100% post consumer recycled PET.

These products are not only better for the environment, but they are also better for your hair and scalp. Win win!

2. Recycling and reducing waste

I can't even begin to imagine how many metres (or miles!) of hair foil I have used over the last 20 years!

A big change I have made is moving from foil to 'Paper not foil' This is a reusable product that enables colour to be more sustainable. On occasion, you cannot do everything with just 'Paper', therefore foil is used so the service does not get compromised.

I offer a refillable station for Insight shampoo and conditioners. This reduces packaging waste and saves clients money too!

Throughout the salon, LED lights are used and there is an eco shower head for the backwash.

We can all make little changes to help make a bigger impact.
